Melanie and Ryan invited their closest family and friends to celebrate their love in Nassau, Bahamas, at the Grand Hyatt Baha Mar.

But unbeknownst to those who didn’t make the trip, the couple got married on the island without telling them until three months later when they threw a lavish NYE party and revealed their union!
We had the honor of capturing all of the joyful times, tender moments, and even a humorous hiccup along the way.

But first, we had to find each other!

Forming a Connection

Melanie and Ryan knew they wanted more than just a wedding video; they wanted a captivating film that would encapsulate their entire celebration in the Bahamas—especially since they would use it to surprise loved ones at the party back home.

It didn’t take long before they knew we were the ones for the job, as we instantly connected over Facetime. We loved hearing about the adventure they had planned in the Bahamas, and they loved our passion and excitement for capturing love stories.

After that conversation, Melanie and Ryan gave us the green light to document their unforgettable wedding adventure!

Cherished Moments

It’s challenging to pick just one favorite detail or moment from this spectacular wedding, as the entire weekend was a breathtaking experience that spanned multiple days.

They wanted their guests to have an incredible time, and witnessing their loved ones’ happiness was beyond what they had imagined. Even Melanie’s 7-year-old son reveled in the festivities, dancing the night away.

However, a detail that held significant meaning for everyone was honoring the bride’s late brother throughout the wedding. His presence was beautifully intertwined, from a charm on her bouquet to heartfelt mentions in their vows and speeches.

Embracing the Unexpected

No wedding is without its amusing anecdotes, and this couple’s celebration had its own unique twist.
As fate would have it, some patches of grass at the reception location had been painted green earlier that day to cover imperfections.

Unfortunately, the paint had not dried. And even more unfortunate, the staff had not notified anyone by the time the couple finished their beach ceremony.

But instead of letting this unexpected turn of events dampen their spirits, they embraced the situation, saying, “We laughed saying some [guests] became the Incredible Hulk turning green from the paint.”

Unveiling the Film

Melanie and Ryan held high expectations for their wedding film. However, they were genuinely blown away when they sat down to watch it for the first time. “[Whitehead Films] surpassed our expectations,” Melanie said. “On top of that, all of our family and friends commented that it is the best wedding film they have ever seen and that it was movie production quality.”

We feel honored to have been part of this couple’s wedding journey, capturing their love, laughter, and memorable moments. And providing them with a film that will forever serve as a treasured memento of their incredible celebration in the Bahamas.
